April is Foot Health Awareness Month
This national observance is a great opportunity for APMA and its state components to help educate the public about podiatric medicine and surgery, as well as overall foot health. The goal of this year’s campaign is to share information about podiatrists’ surgical skills, as well as foot and ankle conditions that should be treated (whether conservatively or surgically) by a podiatrist.
APMA will also be running paid advertising, conducting a national media outreach campaign, and promoting social media content. AMPA is encouraging members to share their own stories (along with photos!) on social media about how they have had a positive impact for patients, using the hashtag #OperateLikeaDPM. The campaign launches April 1 and runs throughout Foot Health Awareness Month.
Join APMA and help raise awareness of podiatric medicine and surgery. Visit www.apma.org/foothealth to view and download all campaign materials, and contact Kevin Hess, firstname.lastname@example.org, if you need help implementing them in your state. Thank you in advance for your support and participation!
